Part 1: Connect Twilio to Alta
Before setting up WhatsApp replies, make sure your Twilio account is connected.
Step 1: Connect Twilio
Go to Alta → Settings → Integrations.
Locate the Twilio section.
Click Connect.
Paste your:
Click Connect.
Your Twilio account is now connected to Alta.
Part 2: Configure WhatsApp Webhook (Required to Receive Replies)
To receive WhatsApp replies inside Alta, you must configure the webhook on each Twilio phone number.
Step 1: Copy the WhatsApp Webhook URL from Alta
Go to Alta → Settings → Integrations.
Locate the Twilio section and click Customize.
Click “Click to show webhook URL”.
Copy the WhatsApp Webhook Key.
Keep this URL ready — you will paste it into Twilio.
Step 2: Configure the Webhook in Twilio
Once your WhatsApp number is successfully set up in Twilio, you need to configure the webhook to allow Alta to receive incoming messages.
Log in to your Twilio Console
Navigate to:
Messaging → Senders → WhatsApp SendersLocate the WhatsApp number you configured
Click Edit Sender
5. Find the field:
"Webhook URL for incoming messages"
6. Paste your Alta Webhook URL (URL Key) into this field
7. Click Update WhatsApp Sender to save the changes
Part 3: Configure the Error Webhook (Required Step)
This ensures proper logging and prevents webhook conflicts.
Step 1: Configure Error Webhook
In Twilio, go to Monitor.
Open the Logs tab.
Click Errors.
Click Webhook.
Click Discard Changes.
Return to Alta.
Copy the Error Webhook Key.
Go back to the Twilio page.
Paste the Error Webhook URL into the webhook URL field.
Click Save.
Final Result
Once completed:
WhatsApp replies sent to your Twilio number will appear inside the Alta Inbox.
You can manage reply directly from Alta.
All configured numbers will route replies correctly.
