1) Add Calendly Tools in Alta
Go to Settings → Tools
Click Add Tool
Select Calendly
You will see two tool types:
Calendly — Book a Meeting
Calendly — Check Availability
Start by selecting Book a Meeting
2) Connect Your Calendly Account
Alta now supports OAuth authentication for Calendly — the same method used for Microsoft Calendar and Alta's CRM integrations. This means you no longer need to manually generate or paste an API token.
To connect via OAuth:
In the tool configuration, click Connect Calendly
You'll be redirected to Calendly to authorize the connection
Once authorized, you'll be returned to Alta automatically
Already connected using an API token? No action needed — both authentication methods are currently supported. Your existing connection will continue to work.
3) Configure the “Book a Meeting” Tool in Alta
Paste your Calendly booking link
(e.g.https://calendly.com/yourname/...)Paste your API token

4) Repeat for "Check Availability"
Add a new tool → Select Calendly – Check Availability
Use the same authorized Calendly account
Use the same time zone
Give it a recognizable name e.g.
Sharon – Calendly Check AvailabilityClick Save Configuration
5) Assign the Tools to Your Call Configuration
After setting up both tools, go to the Call Configuration area and assign the Calendly tools so your AI agent can check availability and book meetings during calls.
