This article explains how to use the Setup section in the Campaign Builder, including campaign mode, prospect limits, rep assignment, scheduling, reply assistant, and email preferences before launch.

What Is the Setup Section?

The Setup section is the final step in the Campaign Builder.

You will reach this step after completing:

  1. Audience

  2. Pitch

  3. Touchpoints

In the Setup section, you define how the campaign will run, who will send the messages, when the campaign will be active, and what limitations should apply to prospects.

Step 1: Choose Between Autopilot and Copilot

In the General Settings area, choose whether the campaign should run in Autopilot or Copilot mode.

Autopilot

Autopilot means that after you click Launch, Alta will automatically target the prospects found and add them into the touchpoint flow.

Use Autopilot if you want the campaign to run automatically without manual approval before prospects enter the sequence.

Copilot

Copilot adds one manual vetting step before prospects enter the campaign flow.

For example, if you choose to contact 40 prospects per day, you will be able to manually review and approve those 40 prospects before they start the campaign.

This manual review only applies before the first step. Once prospects are approved and added to the flow, the rest of the campaign runs automatically.

Step 2: Set the Number of New Prospects to Contact Daily

Use the bar on the left-hand side to choose how many new prospects should be contacted each day.

This controls the daily volume of new prospects entering the campaign.

Step 3: Select Reps

Choose the reps you want to add to this campaign.

The selected reps will be used as the senders for the campaign outreach.

Step 4: Choose a Reply Assistant

You can select a Reply Assistant for the campaign.

The Reply Assistant can automatically reply to messages received from prospects.

You can also create a new assistant directly from this section if needed.

Step 5: Configure Scheduling Settings

In the Scheduling Settings area, define when the campaign should run.

You can configure:

  • Prospect’s time zone

  • Default time zone

  • Active campaign days

  • Campaign start time

  • Campaign end time

  • Campaign end date, if you want a hard stop

Use these settings to control when messages and actions should be sent.

Step 6: Set Prospect Limitations

The Prospect Limitations section helps control who can enter the campaign.

Skip Prospects Already in Campaigns

This is an important setting.

When enabled, Alta will automatically skip or unqualify prospects who were already targeted in previous campaigns.

This helps prevent contacting the same prospect multiple times across different campaigns.

Manage Exceptions

You can manage exceptions by selecting existing campaigns that should not be included in the skip rule.

Use this if there are specific campaigns where you still want to allow overlap.

Re-Enroll Existing Prospects

You can choose whether to re-enroll existing prospects into the campaign.

Use this carefully if you want to contact prospects who already exist in Alta.

Limit Prospects per Company

You can also limit how many prospects should be targeted from the same company.

For example, if you set the limit to 5 prospects per company, Alta will not target more than five people from the same company in this campaign.

You can adjust this number based on your campaign strategy.

Step 7: Adjust Email Preferences

In the Email Preferences section, you can configure email-related settings.

You can:

  • Add an unsubscribe link to the sequence

  • Customize the unsubscribe link text

  • Add tracking to the email messages

These settings help manage compliance, tracking, and the prospect experience.

Step 8: Save or Launch the Campaign

Once you are done configuring the Setup section, you can choose one of two options:

  • Click Save to save the campaign without launching it

  • Click Launch to start the campaign
