Overview
In Alta, you can customize the delay between each step in your campaign sequence.
For example, you can decide whether a LinkedIn message should be sent:
On the same day a connection request is accepted
One day later
Two days later
After any other number of days you choose
Step 1: Open the Campaign Flow
Go to the campaign where you want to edit the timing between steps.
In the campaign flow, you will see the different steps, such as:
Connection request
LinkedIn message
Follow-up message
Between each step, you will see a waiting period.
For example:
Wait for 1 day
Step 2: Edit the Waiting Time
Click on the waiting period between the two steps you want to adjust.
For example, if the flow currently says:
Wait for 1 day
You can click on it and change the number of days.
Step 3: Send a Message on the Same Day
If you want the LinkedIn message to be sent on the same day the prospect accepts the connection request, change the waiting time to:
0 days
This means the next LinkedIn message will be sent the same day the connection request is accepted.
Step 4: Set a Delay for Follow-Up Messages
If you want to send a follow-up message after a specific number of days, update the waiting time between the first message and the follow-up message.
For example, if you set the delay to:
3 days
The second message will be sent three days after the first message.
Example
If your campaign flow is:
Connection request
LinkedIn message
Follow-up LinkedIn message
You can set the timing like this:
Step | Timing |
Connection request | Sent first |
LinkedIn message | Sent the same day the connection request is accepted |
Follow-up message | Sent 3 days after the first LinkedIn message |
Important Notes
Setting the delay to
0 daysmeans the next step can happen on the same day.The delay controls how much time passes before the next step is triggered.
You can customize the waiting time between each step separately.
Use longer delays for follow-ups if you want to give prospects more time to respond.
Recommended Use
For LinkedIn campaigns, a common setup is:
Send the connection request
Send the first LinkedIn message on the same day the connection request is accepted
Send a follow-up message a few days later if the prospect does not reply
