Adding a Meeting Link to a Rep in Alta

This article explains how to add a meeting link to a rep in Alta and how to use it as a variable in campaign prompts.

Written by Sharon Drelevich

Overview

Adding a meeting link to a rep allows Alta to use that link inside campaign messages.

Once added, the meeting link can be inserted using the variable:

{{rep.meeting_link}}

This is useful when you want your campaign call to action to include a direct booking link for the assigned rep.

How to Add a Meeting Link

Step 1: Go to Settings

From your Alta workspace, click Settings.

Step 2: Open Reps

Click Reps.

Step 3: Select the Relevant Rep

Find the rep you want to update.

Step 4: Click Add Meeting Link

Click Add Meeting Link.

Step 5: Add the Meeting Link URL

Paste the rep’s meeting link into the URL field.

For example, this could be a Calendly, Google Calendar, or another scheduling link.

Step 6: Save the Meeting Link

Click Save.

The meeting link will now be saved to that rep’s profile.

How to Use the Meeting Link in Campaign Prompts

After the meeting link is added, you can use it in your campaign messaging.

Step 1: Go to the Campaign Builder

Open the relevant campaign in Alta.

Step 2: Edit the Prompt or Message

Go to the prompt or message where you want to include the meeting link.

Step 3: Add a Call to Action

Add a call to action that invites the prospect to book a meeting.

For example:

“Would you be open to a quick call? You can book a time here: {{rep.meeting_link}}

Step 4: Use the Meeting Link Variable

Insert the meeting link variable into the message:

{{rep.meeting_link}}

When the message is generated, Alta will use the meeting link saved for the assigned rep.

Example Call to Action

You can use a call to action like:

Would you be open to a quick call next week? Feel free to book a time here: {{rep.meeting_link}}

Best Practices

Add the Link Before Launching Campaigns

Make sure the meeting link is added to the rep before launching campaigns that use the meeting link variable.

Test the Link

Before using the meeting link in a live campaign, open the URL and confirm it works correctly.

Use a Clear Call to Action

When adding the meeting link to a message, make the next step clear for the prospect.

For example, ask them to book a time or choose a slot that works for them.

Keep the Link Updated

If a rep changes their scheduling tool or booking page, update the meeting link in Alta.

This ensures prospects are always sent to the correct booking page.

Summary

Adding a meeting link to a rep allows Alta to automatically include that rep’s booking link in campaign messages.

To add it, go to Settings → Reps, select the rep, click Add Meeting Link, paste the URL, and save.

Once saved, use the variable {{rep.meeting_link}} in campaign prompts to include the rep’s meeting link in your call to action.
