Outcome: a complete multi-step sequence in the Touch Points step, built from one sentence instead of clicking each step into place.
Where to find it
Open a campaign → Touch Points. The Katie chat sits on the left of the sequence tree. The same chat is available on the Audience and Pitch steps, inside the audience builder and inside the workflow editor.
Before you start
The campaign needs an audience and a pitch (Katie reads the pitch to write step instructions).
Choose a template or Start from scratch once; after that the chat edits the tree you have.
Steps
On Touch Points, type what you want in the chat, for example: “Build a 4-step sequence: view their LinkedIn profile, send a connection request, an email two days later about our cold-chain playbook, then a follow-up email three days after that.”
Katie shows the plan, then adds the steps one by one. Waits (“Wait for 2 days”) and channel checks such as Has valid Email? are inserted automatically.
Ask for changes in the same chat: “make the second email shorter”, “remove the connection request”, “add a call after the last email”.
Click any step to review the generated instructions, then Save or Save and continue.
Click the image to watch the clip (recorded in Alta).
What you should see
The tree updates while Katie works; the chat ends with a summary such as “Done. The 4-step sequence is built.” Steps created by Katie behave exactly like steps you add by hand and can be edited, moved or deleted.
Good to know
The chat knows which step and which campaign you are on, so “this step” and “the last email” resolve correctly.
Use the history icon in the chat header to reopen an earlier conversation; conversations can be shared with a teammate from the same menu.
Katie validates against the same tree rules as the builder; if a request cannot be applied (for example a call step without an assistant), she explains what is missing.
