How to Duplicate a Campaign in Alta

Duplicating a campaign allows you to quickly create a copy of an existing campaign.

Written by Sharon Drelevich

Overview

This is useful when you want to reuse the same campaign structure, messaging, or workflow, while making small changes such as location, audience, tags, or campaign details.

For example, if you already created a campaign for one location, you can duplicate it and adjust the new version for a different location instead of building the campaign from scratch.

When to Duplicate a Campaign

Duplicate a campaign when you want to:

  • Reuse the same campaign structure

  • Save time creating a similar campaign

  • Keep the same messaging flow

  • Change only small details, such as location or audience

  • Create variations of a campaign for different segments

Step 1: Go to the Campaigns Page

  1. Log in to Alta.

  2. From the main navigation, click Campaigns.

Step 2: Open the Campaign Options Menu

  1. Find the campaign you want to duplicate.

  2. On the right-hand side of the campaign row, click the three dots menu.

Step 3: Duplicate the Campaign

  1. Click Duplicate.

  2. Click Confirm.

Alta will create a duplicated version of the campaign.

Step 4: Update the Duplicated Campaign

After duplicating the campaign, review the new campaign and update any details that need to change.

For example, you may want to update:

  • Campaign name

  • Location

  • Target audience

  • Tags

  • Messaging

  • Sending schedule

  • Assigned reps

  • Campaign settings

Example Use Case

If you created a campaign for an event in London and want to run the same campaign for an event in Paris, you can duplicate the London campaign and update the location, tags, and messaging for Paris.

This helps you avoid rebuilding the campaign from the beginning.

Important Notes

  • Duplicating a campaign saves time when creating similar campaigns.

  • Always review the duplicated campaign before launching it.

  • Make sure the audience, tags, and messaging are updated for the new use case.

  • Duplicating a campaign does not mean the new campaign is automatically ready to launch.
