How to Import a Company List from HubSpot for an ABM Campaign

You can import a list of companies from HubSpot into Alta when creating an ABM, or Account-Based Marketing, campaign. This is useful when you already have a company list in HubSpot and want Alta to find and enrich relevant prospects from those companies

What Are HubSpot Companies in ABM?

The HubSpot Companies source allows you to select a company list directly from your connected HubSpot CRM.

After the campaign is created and launched, Alta will use that company list to find relevant prospects and automatically enrich them.

Step 1: Create a Campaign

From your Alta account, go to Campaigns.

Click Create Campaign.

Step 2: Go to the Audience Section

When you reach the Audience section of the campaign builder, choose the source for your campaign audience.

Step 3: Select ABM

Click ABM.

ABM stands for Account-Based Marketing.

Step 4: Choose HubSpot Companies

Click HubSpot Companies.

This allows you to import a company list directly from HubSpot.

Step 5: Select a Company List

Click Select Company List.

A dropdown will open with the available company lists from your HubSpot CRM.

Choose the relevant company list you want to use for the campaign.

Step 6: Add Filters for Specific Personas Inside Those Companies

After selecting the HubSpot company list, add filters to define the specific personas you want to reach inside those companies.

For example, you can filter by:

  • Job titles

  • Departments

  • Seniority

  • Location

  • Other relevant persona criteria

These filters help Alta find the right prospects within the companies from your HubSpot list.

Step 7: Continue Through the Campaign Builder

After adding the persona filters, continue through the rest of the campaign builder.

You can proceed to the next campaign setup stages, such as:

  • Pitch

  • Touchpoints

  • Review and launch

Step 8: Launch the Campaign

Once the campaign is ready, launch it.

After launch, Alta will automatically:

  • Use the selected HubSpot company list

  • Find relevant prospects from those companies

  • Enrich the prospect data

  • Add those prospects to the campaign audience

Recommended Use Case

Use HubSpot Companies when you already have a curated company list in HubSpot and want to run an ABM campaign targeting those accounts.

For example, if your sales team has created a list of priority accounts in HubSpot, you can import that list into Alta and then add persona filters to reach the right people inside those companies.
